Abstract

The work “SISTEMA PENITENCIARIO Y NUEVAS TECNOLOGÍAS”, directed by Ricardo Mata y Martín and coordinated by Antonio María Javato Martín, is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary survey on the impact of the dizzying technological advances which are taking place in modern societies in the criminal and criminal procedural fields, and specially in the penitentiary field. This work is set to become a reference book for scholars and legal professionals alike, because of the multifaceted approach taken in it, the prestige of its authors and the significance of its subject of study

La obra “SISTEMA PENITENCIARIO Y NUEVAS TECNOLOGÍAS” dirigida por Ricardo Mata y Martín y coordinada por Antonio Mª Javato Martín constituye un amplio y multidisciplinar estudio de la incidencia del vertiginoso desarrollo tecnológico alcanzado por las sociedades modernas en el ámbito penal, procesal penal y especialmente en el penitenciario. Por la multilateralidad de sus planteamientos, el prestigio de sus autores y la importancia del asunto, está llamada a convertirse en un libro de referencia para los estudiosos y operadores del Derecho.
