Abstract

The paper talks about the memories I have from my grandfather Juan García Conesa, who told me the origins, now one century ago, and the posterior development of the family business that has employed three generations in the drillings for the fi nding of the necessary water, essential for the agricultural development of the Spanish Southeast. We describe the technological evolution that happened, mostly promoted by this family, pioneer in the fi eld that we analyze in this paper.
