Observamos de qué manera la indefinición de la figura de Odiseo constituye el punto de partida para cantar su retorno a casa, retorno con el cual se establece su figura dentro del contexto de la perspectiva post-Troya peculiar a la Odisea. Un examen de ciertos aspectos de la visita de Atena a Telémaco en el canto primero así como de la reunión de la comunidad itacense en el canto segundo forma asimismo parte del interés de este estudio. This paper attempts to show how the undecided situation of Odysseus constitutes the starting point to sing his homecoming, considering that return (nostos) establishes the overall figure of each hero in the context of the specific post-Troja perspective of the Odyssey. I also undertake an analysis of certain important aspects of Athene’s visit to Telemachus in the first book as well as of the community meeting in the second book.
