Entre la reflexividad y la inacusatividad: Algunas consideraciones sobre construcciones con el verbo romper

Abstract

Los análisis que se hacen sobre el tema de la reflexividad en español (y en otras lenguas románticas) revisten unas características muy peculiares que guardan relación con el papel que en esta lengua desempeña la forma 'se' en las construcciones reflexivas, a diferencia de otros sistemas lingüísticos. Estas interpretaciones recorren un camino que va desde postular pronominales y referenciales (en general las sostenidas tradicionalmente con más o menos matices) hasta aquellas que defienden que el 'se' es un morfema de intransitivación o afijo verbal. En este contexto, nosotros creemos que la 'hipótesis de la inacusatividad' que permite aportar un criterio metodológico que combina los tres aspectos (morfológico, sintáctico y semántico) y coadyuva a una interpretación coherente de la reflexividad. Tomamos como ejemplo prototípico el verbo 'romper' a partir del cual establecemos puntos de comparación con otros verbos similares (quemar, mojar, secar...) que nos permiten extender el concepto de construcción inacusativa.
