The work carried out by architect Vicente de Acero is especially important in the Andalusian provinces. His ties with this region and his intense artistic activity whilst there are explained in the document he wrote in defence of his work, known as the Probocado, which also tells us of his stay in Italy. However, a special mention must be made of Acero’s connection with the works of La Cartuja del Paular (Madrid), where he remained for a short period of time as a postulant to this monastery. His activity consisted mainly in solving the problems of the anteroom and the articulation of the supports of the inner chamber.
