Abstract

El artículo evalúa y expone la participación de un grupo de militares exiliados republicanos españoles, denominados "hispanosoviéticos", en la asistencia técnico-militar brindada a la Revolución Cubana entre 1960 y 1962. Focalizándose en las figuras de Ramón Soliva y Francisco Ciutat, se explora su rol en la profesionalización de las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias (FAR) y en la consolidación del poder infraestructural del nuevo régimen cubano. Se detalla su experiencia previa en el Ejército Popular de la República y su formación en academias soviéticas, destacando cómo su experticia fue instrumental para la reorganización militar y la defensa de Cuba durante episodios clave como la invasión de Bahía de Cochinos y la Crisis de los Misiles. Además, se evalúa el impacto de los hispanosoviéticos en la construcción de un ejército revolucionario con funciones sociales y políticas, marcando un legado que trasciende la Guerra Fría. Este estudio subraya la dimensión transnacional de las luchas anticolonialistas y antifascistas, resaltando cómo el fenómeno del exilio se convirtió en un eje vertebrador de determinadas dinámicas globales propias de la Guerra Fría.
