Este artículo pone de manifiesto el papel clave de los recursos humanos en el desarrollo económico y explica las diferencias entre las demandas de cualificación profesional de los sistemas de organización productiva fordista y de especialización flexible. Este último exige un mayor nivel de cualificación al conjunto de la sociedad, por lo que su difusión se ha traducido en la necesidad de un mayor esfuerzo social en formación profesional, lo cual se ejemplifica con el caso de España
This article shows the key role of human resources on economic development and explains differences on professional qualification demands between fordist model of production organization and flexible specialization model. This one requires a higher level of qualifications and so its diffusion has brought about the need of a greater social effort on professional training; this is illustrated with the case of Spain.
