Trashumancia y turismo en España

Abstract

La trashumancia en España como fenómeno histórico y actual con profundas raíces económicas y territoriales, en un momento en el que peligra su futuro inmediato en distintas áreas de la geografía española, está empezando a ser reivindicado entre otras cosas como aliciente a la atracción turística en áreas donde la trashumancia aún se practica, o bien, donde ha dejado una intensa huella en los espacios en los que estuvo presente. Desarrollo rural y trashumancia conforman un binomio aún plausible en diferentes regiones españolas como contribución a modelos de desarrollo rural sostenible, en los que un turismo monográfico motivado por dicha actividad puede suponer un elemento más en su apoyo y continuidad temporal.
