Frente a los análisis de la violencia escolar centrados en los alumnos y sus características personales, en este artículo se propone una perspectiva más amplia donde se contempla la construcción sociocultural de estos problemas por los centros escolares y los profesionales de la educación, y se reivindica una educación escolar capaz de educar a todos los alumnos. Desde este marco de referencia, se aborda el tema del asesoramiento a los centros educativos mediante la revisión de las dimensiones curriculares, organizativas y de relaciones con el entorno. Finalmente se apuntan aspectos sociopolíticos que desde fuera de la escuela pueden favorecer la convivencia en la misma.
With regard to the analyses of violence at school focused on the students and their individual characteristics, this article proposes a wider perspective. This perspective focuses on the sociocultural background of the schools and demands an education which attends the needs of all students. From this framework, we tackle school counselling by revising its curricular and organizational dimensions, and its relationship with the environment. Finally, we consider several sociopolitical factors which can improve the students’ coexistence.
