Turismo y empleo femenino

Abstract

En este trabajo se plantea un análisis acerca de la importancia que tiene el turismo como «yacimiento de empleo», y de un modo particular para la mujer. Sin embargo, esta importancia difiere según la naturaleza del turismo y la ubicación del área de residencia. Por esta razón se presenta la dicotomía entre turismo en el espacio rural y el turismo de sol y playa, sobre los que se superpone un análisis de la posición socioeconómica de la mujer, atendiendo a tres variables que recogen la relación que mantienen las mujeres de estos ámbitos con la profesión, la actividad económica y la situación profesional. En los espacios señalados se pone de manifiesto que la estacionalidad y la precariedad en el empleo son factores negativos para la mujer.
