Salud y factores de riesgo cardiovascular ¿Generadores de turismo?

Abstract

La enfermedad coronaria es la causa más frecuente de mortalidad en España y en el resto de los países occidentales. Esta enfermedad puede tener diversas manifestaciones clínicas tales como la angina de pecho y el infarto agudo de miocardio; y hay una serie de factores, conocidos como factores de riesgo cardiovascular: diabetes mellitus, hipertensión arterial, hipercolesterolemia y tabaquismo que aumentan la probabilidad de padecer esta patología. En este artículo se revisan estos factores de riesgo, las formas de prevenirlos y se concluye que la prevención ya sea primaria o secundaria, además de ser el medio más eficaz para disminuir la incidencia de enfermedad coronaria, puede convertirse en una actividad generadora de turismo.
