Sistema de evaporación de salmuera mediante torre de refrigeración

Abstract

El tratamiento y almacenamiento del flujo de rechazo de la desalinización mediante ósmosis inversa, muy extendida en la Región de Murcia requiere de un gran espacio y un coste elevado, al ser imposible su eliminación mediante evaporación natural la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena ha adquirido un sistema de evaporación de salmuera mediante torre de refrigeración. El objeto de este artículo es obtener unos puntos teóricos de funcionamiento capaces de predecir el comportamiento de la torre de refrigeración, principal componente de la instalación, también se ha modelizado el comportamiento de una caldera de biomasa, dispuesta para proporcionar energía térmica a la salmuera y que esta tenga capacidad de evaporación. La modelización del sistema-prototipo completo mediante el software TRNSYS se ha realizado en diferentes situaciones para comprobar su funcionamiento, eficacia y consumo energético del sistema de evaporación de salmuera.
