Agregados de algas en la superficie del agua (Delta del LLobregat)
Se describe la composición y desarrollo de algunos agregados de algas en la superficie del agua, en lagunas y canales del Delta del Llobregat. Las principales especies implicadas son: Euglena proxima, E. viridis, Chlamydomonas sordida, C. lewinii, Chlamydonephris pomiformis, Nitzschia thermalis y diversas oscilatorias. La importancia de las formaciones se valoró estimando la cantidad de clorofila «a» por metro cuadrado, habiéndose medido un valor máximo de 355 mg C1.m-2.
Some neustonic blooms of Euglena proxima, E. viridis, Chlamydomonas sordida, C. lewinii, Chlamydonephris pomiformis, Nitzschia thermalis and several Oscillatoria are described in coastal lagoons and srnall channels (Delta of Llobregat, NE. of Spain). A maximum concentration of 355 mg Chl«a» . m-2 was mesured.
