La Educación a Distancia en la sociedad del conocimiento

Abstract

Ante los retos planteados a principios del siglo XXI por las revoluciones industrial y tecnológica y por la globalización de la economía que han sido capaces de cambiar los perfiles de la actividad humana, organizaciones vinculadas con el mundo de la educación, la UNESCO, la Dirección General de Educación y Cultura de la Comisión Europea, entre las más conocidas, vienen anunciando una nueva sociedad marcada por el conocimiento. Esta situación lleva a una reflexión sobre cuál es la base sobre la que hay que asentar la sociedad del conocimiento, la sociedad del aprendizaje y cuáles son los rasgos que ha de tener esa nueva sociedad en la que ya vivimos.
