Abstract

0 conceito de cuidador informal obteve nos últimos anos particular relevo, quer ao nível da literatura, quer ao nível da investiga9io em gerontologia. Cuidar de um idoso dependente acarreta consequências para 0 cuidador, principalmente quando 0 cuidado se prolonga no tempo. Em resultado, 0 cuidador pode apresentar um conjunto de problemas fisicos, mentais e sócio - económicos, a que geralmente se da 0 nome de carga e que pode ser objectiva ou subjectiva
