Parasitismo associado a Saissetia oleae (Oliv.) em Trás-os-Montes.

Abstract

Neste trabalho apresentam-se dados preliminares de um estudo tendo por objectivo avaliar a importância dos parasitóides na limitação populacional da cochonilha negra, Saissetia oleae (Oliv.) (Homoptera: Goccidae), em Trás-os-Montes. Os resultados apresentados referem-se a 1997 e foram obtidos mediante a realização de três amostragens repartidas pelo fim do Verão/inicio de Outono. Cada amostragem incidiu em 40 olivais seleccionados aleatoriamente na região em estudo. Em cada olival obteve-se uma amostra de dez fragmentos de ramo, provenientes de cinco árvores seleccionadas aleatoriamente, a partir da qual se constituiu uma sub-amostra de 100 folhas por olival. O numero de exemplares de S. oleae da amostra, foi registado e agrupado por estado de desenvolvimento. Estes exemplares foram depois mantidos em laboratório para permitir a desenvolvimento de eventuais parasitóides.
