Efeito da ripagem prévia na variação de porosidade do solo em povoamentos florestais instalados com armação do terreno em vala e cômoro

Abstract

As diferentes técnicas de preparação do terreno para instalação de povoamentos florestais, tem como objectivos criar condições propicias ao desenvolvimento das plantas, procurando maximizar a produtividade dos futuros povoamentos florestais. Com a mobilização do solo, geralmente ocorrem modificações nas propriedades físicas do mesmo. Num ensaio experimental localizado em Lamas de Podence, concelho de Macedo de Cavaleiros, foi instalado um povoamento misto de Pseudotsuga mensiezii e Castanea sativa, com a aplicação de três modalidades preparatórias do terreno, em talhões de 375 m', seguidas de armação em vala e cômoro (YC): sem ripagem (SRVC), com ripagem localizada (RL VC) e com ripagem continua (RCVC). As modalidades foram dispostas aleatoriamente em três blocos, correspondendo a situações topográficas distintas: planalto, encosta de declive acentuado e encosta de declive moderado.
