Abstract

A cochonilha-negra, Saisseti oleae (Olivier, 1791) e m dos principais inimigos do olival em muitas regiões. Entre o complexo de auxiliares desta cultura, destacam-se, pela sua relativa abundância, as coccinelideos dos quais diversas espécies exercem predação sobre cochonilhas. Contudo, a informação disponível sobre o papel exercido par estes organismos sobre as populações de cochonilha-negra é escassa.
