Gestão da fertilidade do solo e fertilização em pomares biológicos

Abstract

A agricultura biológica tem vindo a ser incentivada pelas políticas comunitárias. Não é, contudo, claro que do maior apoio comunitário à agricultura biológica possam vir benefícios para a agricultura nacional no seu todo ou que de alguma forma esta se vá tornar internacionalmente mais competitiva. A agricultura biológica coloca desafios que grande parte dos setores pode não conseguir ultrapassar. Na componente agronómica, a agricultura biológica coloca desafios complexos, que podem ser divididos em dois grupos: proteção sanitária das culturas; e gestão da fertilidade do solo e fertilização. Neste documento, procura dar-se um contributo em como os problemas na gestão da fertilidade do solo podem ser ultrapassados em pomares biológicos de escala comercial. Para se conseguir este objetivo muitos conceitos base relacionados com a fertilidade do solo e a nutrição das plantas têm de ser revistos e clarificados.
