Metodologia de Avaliação do Clima Urbano

Abstract

Num mundo crescentemente urbanizado, as temáticas relativas às cidades ganham relevância. A qualidade de vida nestes locais depende, para além de outras variáveis, do clima, pela forma como este condiciona o conforto no espaço exterior e se relaciona com as condições que encontramos nos espaços interiores dos edifícios que habitamos. Esta é, no entanto, uma relação de duplo sentido, pois o clima determina a adaptação de edifícios e estruturas urbanas ao contexto climático, as quais por sua vez acabam por influenciar as condições microclimáticas. Esta temática tem vindo a afirmar-se como um campo de investigação e atuação complexo, na medida em que está associado a sistemas dinâmicos de diferentes escalas que interagem entre si. Neste sentido, cumpre desenvolver metodologias de análise que possam informar os processos de decisão, fomentando a introdução de estratégias de planeamento que promovam uma melhoria da qualidade do ambiente urbano.
