Aplicação do método cash value added (CVA) na avaliação de PME comerciais – Estudo de caso

Abstract

A avaliação de Empresas tem sido uma preocupação constante dos gestores, detentores do capital e demais stakeholders, podendo satisfazer vários objetivos. No presente trabalho pretende-se descrever o método de avaliação de empresas CVA - Cash Value Added, com o propósito de indicar se o mesmo é adequado para encontrar o valor intrinseco de uma empresa e fazer a aplicação prática num estudo de caso. Os resultados indiciam que o método CVA valoriza as empresas que apresentem maior taxa de crescimento, maior rentabilidade das vendas e custo médio do capital mais elevado, uma vez que assume este como taxa de remuneração das amortizações económicas, em vez das contabilísticas e é usado como taxa de atualização dos cash-flows (como proxy da remuneração dos capitais investidos).
