Abstract

As comunidades arbustivas silvestres –matos- cobrem vastas áreas do NE de Portugal e nelas se encontra uma ampla lista de plantas aromáticas e medicinais (PAM). Inventários etnobotânicos realizados em três aldeias de Trás-os-Montes, mostram que a carqueja (Pterospartum tridentatum (L. Willk.), família Fabaceae, apresenta: Frequência de citação para usos tradicionais superior a 60% Distribuição restringida a determinadas zonas Grande interesse por parte dos consumidores locais, que colhem material silvestre O objetivo deste trabalho é o de relacionar características e propriedades do solo com as preferências dos coletores/utilizadores da carqueja.
