Avaliação biomecânica de um joelho humano com osteocondrite dissecante

Abstract

Neste trabalho apresenta-se a avaliação biomecânica de um joelho humano feminino afetado patologicamente. A patologia é denominada de osteocondrite dissecante e tem implicações na postura e no movimento do individuo. A partir de uma tomografia computorizada (TC) foi possível obter um modelo tridimensional (3D) físico e digital. O modelo físico, obtido por prototipagem rápida, permitiu identificar a geometria aproximada às estruturas ósseas da paciente. O modelo digital possibilitou a avaliação e a análise biomecânica do joelho, através do método dos elementos finitos. Os resultados numéricos permitem identificar a zonas críticas de tensão e deslocamentos tecidulares. São obtidas conclusões sobre a identificação das possíveis zonas de lesão ou de rutura no tecido articular.
