Abstract

El articulo hace parte de la investigación “Porto Alegre Imaginada: representaciones de los ciudadanos sobre la ciudad cuyo objetivo es comprender el modo como se construye el imaginário de los porto-alegrenses a partir del cruce de las representaciones sobre la ciudad que circulan em los médios de comunicación y en datos oficiales, identificando las diferentes dimensiones em la construcción de los imaginários urbanos. Muestra las representaciones que sobre la ciudad tienen los lectores del periódico Zero Hora de Porto Alegre a través de sus narrativas. El corpus fue construído a partir de las cartas enviadas por los lectores a Zero Hora com ocasión de um concurso promovido por TIM (Telecom Itália Móbile) titulado “Mi Capital” para conmemorar los 235 años de la capital gaúcha em 2007. Se concluye que el periódico, al vehicular contenidos informativos de narrativas, hace circular imágenes de la ciudad e de sus habitantes permeadas por símbolos que tienen como referencia el imaginário instituído sobre la ciudad, basado en una relación de los ciudadanos que refuerza los lazos de pertenencia como el lugar de su identidad cultural.

O artigo faz parte da pesquisa Porto Alegre imaginada: representações dos cidadãos sobre a cidade, cujo objetivo é compreender como é construído o imaginário dos cidadãos portoalegrenses a partir do cruzamento das representações sobre a cidade que circulam nos meios de comunicação e os dados oficiais, identificando as diferentes dimensões na construção dos imaginários urbanos. Mostra as representações dos leitores do jornal Zero Hora de Porto Alegre sobre a cidade, por meio das suas narrativas. O corpus da análise foi constituído pelas cartas dos leitores enviadas a Zero Hora por ocasião de um concurso promovido pela TIM (Telecom Itália Móbile), intitulado “A Minha Capital”, em comemoração aos 235 anos da capital gaúcha no ano de 2007. Conclui-se que o jornal impresso, ao veicular os conteúdos informativos das narrativas, faz circular imagens sobre Porto Alegre e dos seus habitantes, permeadas por símbolos que tem como referência o imaginário instituído sobre a cidade, baseado em uma relação dos cidadãos que reforça os laços de pertencimento com o lugar e com a sua identidade cultural.

This article is a part of the research “Porto Alegre Imaginada: the citizen’s representations upon their city”. Here, the objective is to compreend how Porto Alegre citizen’s imaginary is built from crossing’s representations, about the city which circulates on the media, and from official data. Hence, it becomes possible to identify the differents dimensions on the urban imaginary’s built. It shows the Zero Hora reader’s representations over the city from their narratives. The analise’s corpus was settle with letters sent by Zero Hora’s readers as part of a competion promoted by TIM (Telecom Italia mobile), named A Minha Capital “My Capital”, to celebrate the 235 years of Porto Alegre, in 2007. The conclusion is that the print newspaper when publish the informative contents of narrative, shows images about Porto Alegre and its residents, permeated by symbols that have as a reference the inside imaginary about the city, based on the citizen’s relation that reinforce the bounds of belonging to the local culture identity
