Abstract

The present match between organizational manage ment (OM) and Information Technology (IT) has carried out new ways to business processing in organizations, such as Reengineering. This paper analyses two topics on this subject. First: Is the IT - a substantive tool to ensure Reengineering success - sufficient by itself to promote the necessary changes in organizational environment? Second: Are Reengineering resources to be considered so radical an innovation comparatively to prior management methods? A methodological approach is proposed to set new focus on that matter. IT is centered at the stablishment of the changes content logic and the IT as fundamental items restructuring processes.
