NEFROPATIA ISQUÊMICA

Abstract

The present article is a review about ischemic nephropathy, a clinical entity that has gained recognition as a major cause of chronic renal failure, mainly in populations at higher cardiovascular risk. The literature about the epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations and treatment aspects of this disease are revised and a systematic approach to it is proposed.

O presente artigo aborda a nefropatia isquêmica – entidade cada vez mais reconhecida como causa importante de insuficiência renal crônica, principalmente em populações com alto risco cardiovascular – e atualiza conhecimentos sobre epidemiologia, etiologia, fisiopatologia, manifestações clínicas e tratamento da referida entidade. Uma abordagem sistemática do assunto é proposta.
