Através do agrupamento das características dos desenhos apresentadas por onze diferentes autores na revisão de literatura, esta pesquisa buscou esclarecer as diferentes características e funções do desenho dentro do processo de desenvolvimento de produtos. Foram identificadas três categorias de desenho: desenho de reflexão; desenho de comunicação; e desenho de apresentação.
