“E se não há o que escolher ?” : a representação do intersexo no filme XXY

Abstract

With focus on the social and affective relations that the intersex character sets in the course of the plot, considering the elements of cinematic narrative (plot, conflict, character building). The methodology consisted of ethnography of media (BALESTRIN, SOARES, 2012), and image analysis (Vanoye, GOLIOT-LETÉ, 1994). Sought to merge the procedures of anthropological research and analysis of film, as it is understood that audiovisual language is fundamental in the process of establishing cultural meanings.
