Disney's dream.

Authors: P B, Limbacher;

Disney's dream.

Abstract

In many ways, Walt Disney's dream for the town of Celebration is finally coming true. The model community in Osceola County, Fla, which broke ground in 1994, already has more than 1,200 residents. But one piece of the dream, a healthcare facility offering a full spectrum of services and top-of-the-line technology, hasn't come to fruition. While it's set to open next month, inpatient care won't be offered. Regulators cite an overbedded market and say the services just aren't needed.
