Abstract

O presente artigo tem como ponto de partida os resultados da investigação de doutoramento “Performance Tradicional e Teatro e Comunidade: Interacções; Contributos e Desafios Contemporâneos. O caso das ‘Brincas de Évora’”, destacando-se a análise de uma performance tradicional no Sul de Portugal - Brincas Carnavalescas de Évora – compreendendo quer os seus sentidos na contemporaneidade, quer os seus contributos para a criação teatral comunitária. A metodologia adoptada revelou uma multiplicidade de olhares, como área espistemológica de confluências, relevando a pertinência dos processos dialógicos, da incorporação das vozes dos interlocutores e ainda da dimensão projectual de acompanhamento, ao longo de anos, destas práticas performativas. O estudo das performances tradicionais contemporâneas, ao permitir compreender as motivações das comunidades na relação com as suas vivências culturais e expressões estéticas próprias - atendendo aos processos paródicos, dialógicos e intertextuais -, impõe-se como determinante para a reflexão em torno das práticas de teatro e comunidade. Nesse sentido, enfrentamos o desafio de compatibilizar: estéticas específicas deste tipo de eventos ritualizados; questionamentos da criação contemporãnea; e forte compromisso social, exigindo um profissional atento, dialogante e com uma visão transformadora.
