A abordagem diagnóstica inclui principalmente o exame físico e anamnese do animal, exames imagiológicos e histopatológicos. A imunoterapia está a evoluir para melhorar a eficácia dos tratamentos; Canine appendicular osteosarcoma - Abstract: This internship report was elaborated following the completion of the curricular internship for the integrated master's degree in veterinary medicine. This work is divided into two parts, the first of which comprises a description and statistical analysis of the casuistry followed during the internship, where oncology was one of the clinical areas with the greatest representation. The second part contains a literature review of canine appendicular osteosarcoma, which culminates in the presentation of an observed clinical case. Osteosarcoma is the most common malignant bone neoplasm in dogs. It is a very aggressive tumor with a very poor prognosis. It most frequently affects large or giant breed dogs. The diagnostic approach mainly includes the animal's clinical exam and history, imaging and histopathological examinations. Currently, the standard treatment includes surgery to control the local tumor, and adjuvant chemotherapy to control metastatic disease. Immunotherapy is evolving to improve the efficacy of the treatment.
