Abstract

Las metodologías activas desempeñan un papel esencial en la enseñanza, ya que sitúan al estudiante en el centro del proceso de aprendizaje. Incentivan al alumno a construir su propio conocimiento mediante prácticas colaborativas, resolución de problemas y exploración de escenarios reales, promoviendo un aprendizaje más significativo, con estímulo del pensamiento crítico, la autono mía y la capacidad de aplicar el conocimiento adquirido. Dada esta importancia, este trabajo muestra ejemplos de esta perspectiva aplicada en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de las Geociencias en enseñanza secundaria en Portugal. Los resul tados obtenidos revelan que la colocación del alumnado en el centro del proceso de aprendizaje promovió su involucración activa, con mayor autonomía, crítica y creatividad, además de la satisfacción por la realización de las actividades pro puestas.
