Abstract

A promoção do sucesso no Ensino Superior (ES), tem sido uma das preocupações constantes das Políticas Educativas, as quais alertam para a necessidade de todos os intervenientes serem proativos no combate ao abandono escolar. Urge incentivar mudanças, nos currículos na formação e práticas dos professores do ES (atualização, inovação pedagógica), nos alunos (maior envolvimento nas atividades académicas), nos responsáveis institucionais e nas diversas estruturas de apoio a estudantes, docentes e funcionários. O PeerMentoring.UÉ, Programa de Mentoria por Pares, insere-se no IPI.SUCESSO, com o objetivo de contribuir para a adaptação dos estudantes ao ES, pro mover o bem-estar e diminuir o insucesso escolar nesta Universidade. A mentoria por pares no Ensino Superior, voltou a emergir na atualidade nacional e internacional como uma ferramenta indispensável no combate ao abandono escolar, à promoção do sucesso escolar dos alunos e facilitadora do desenvolvimento de competências pessoais e profissionais.
