Abstract

O tratamento mais eficiente baseia-se na utilização de protocolos quimioterápicos com múltiplos fármacos; - “CANINE MULTICENTRIC LYMPHOMA” ABSTRACT: This report follows the curricular insternship of the Integrated Master’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine of University of Évora, held at Hospital Veterinário de Coimbra. The first part of this report refers to the developed activities during the six months of internship, in small animal practice, including statistical analysis of the caseload followed by the author, proceeding with a second part with the development of a bibliographical review with the theme “Canine Multicentric Lymphoma”. From that point forward, a clinical case is presented and discussed, complementing the monograph. Cancer prevalence in pet animals has been increasing, being one of the main causes of death in older animals and, consequently, one of the main concerns of pet owners. Canine lymphoma is among the most common diagnosed malignancies in dogs and is a disorder of hematopoietic system. The most efficient treatment is based on the use of chemotherapy protocols with multiple drugs.
