Reprodução e clínica de bovinos de leite

Abstract

This report is divided in two parts, casuistic and monographic. In the first part it will be described the observed casuistic during the stage, that lasted for four months, following the activity of a veterinary surgeon. During this period the student perform several tasks in reproductive control and clinics, internal medicine and surgery, as well as consultancy activities. The monographic approaches the neonatal diarrheas, evaluating four farms, through a survey answered orally by the producers and a diagnostic kit used to identify the presence of etiologic agents of diarrhea in calves, based on the program FIVE STEP. Thus we describe the causes and risk factors for the onset of diarrhea, prophylactic programs and the critical points of four farms, as well as the results of tests that demonstrate the presence of rotavirus, coronavirus, E. coli and C. parvum farms tested.
