Influência dos incêndios florestais na poluição ambiental

Abstract

These have enormous environmental, social and economical consequences. This thesis aims to evaluate the influence of forest fires on environmental pollution. The statistical analysis of the number of occurrences and the affected area during the decade (2003-2012), as well as the impact on air pollution, particularly in concentrations of gases and particles in the boundary layer, will give us a better view of the problem. The impact that the forest fires may have on soils and hydric resources from the affected regions will also be analyzed. The analysis of the parameters mentioned above, and a literature search on the impact of these fires will lead to a better understanding of the real impact of these events, which will allow the presentation of some measures that can reduce the number of occurrence, its magnitude and its influence on environmental quality.
