Abstract

A perceção da imagem dos países e das regiões é hoje vista como um bem essencial para defender os seus interesses à luz nas novas regras económicas e políticas, caracterizadas pela interdependência e maior competitividade. A identidade visual de uma região quando difundida através de uma estratégia comunicacional eficaz, pode tornar-se um importante instrumento de desenvolvimento económico. As regiões, com vantagens competitivas distintas, competem entre si e tornaram-se marcas registadas. Uma marca regional representa assim um excelente caminho para decisões que conduzem ao desenvolvimento económico e sustentado. O propósito deste trabalho será compreender o processo de construção e implementação de uma marca regional, com o objetivo de produzir conhecimentos que sirvam para redesenhar uma nova marca gráfica “Alentejo” que possa resultar em benefícios para a região e, por consequência, para o país; BRAND ALENTEJO Contribution of Design to promote the Alentejo Region ABSTRACT: The image perception of countries and regions is today seen as is a essential to defend their interests in the light of the new economic rules and policies, characterized by interdependence and greater competitiveness. The identity and the image of a region when diffused through a communicational strategy effective, can become an important instrument of economic development. Regions with distinct competitive advantage, compete among themselves and have become trademarks. A regional brand represents an excellent way to decisions that lead to economic development and sustained. The purpose of this work is to understand the process of building and implementing a regional brand, with the objective of producing knowledge that can be used to redraw a new graphic brand "Alentejo" that can result in benefits to the region and therefore to the country.
