Abstract

La aparición de la web 2.0 requiere una didáctica renovada que potencie las posibilidades de este “nuevo internet”. Es básico analizar en profundidad los principios que soportan los nuevos entornos de aprendizaje apoyados en tecnologías. Más en concreto, es necesario para la integración didáctica de TIC –hasta ahora fundamentada en las teorías del aprendizaje “clásicas”: conductismo, cognitivismo y constructivismo- una relectura de la situación a la luz de las potencialidades de las herramientas de software social para nuestras aulas. En el caldo de cultivo formado, en primer lugar, por los modelos conexionistas y redes de aprendizaje y comunidades virtuales, y, en segundo, por las teorías del caos y de la auto-organización, algunos autores comenzaron en la primera década del s. XXI a postular una cuarta teoría del aprendizaje, el conectivismo, cuyo concepto clave son las conexiones que se establecen en la web 2.0. “(...) we break from our insistence of complicated explanations to complex phenomenon and collapse down to connections as the basic unit for understanding knowledge and the process of learning” (Siemens, 2010, el destacado es nuestro).
