The economics of sterilization.

Authors: R M, Brinston;

The economics of sterilization.

Abstract

In this approach to selecting the most appropriate sterilization method, comparisons are made of the initial and ongoing costs for sterilization by ethylene oxide, gamma radiation, and electron radiation. Considerations that have an impact on cost include the monetary value of the time that elapses between sending a product for processing and its release for sale, anticipated growth in the level of product to be sterilized, labour, electricity and utilities, and the price of the sterilant.
