Abstract

La presente Tesis Doctoral se engloba dentro de la línea de investigación de Aseguramiento de Flujo de crudos de petróleo que se viene desarrollando en el Grupo de Ingeniería Química y Ambiental (GIQA) de la Escuela Superior de Ciencias Experimentales y Tecnología (ESCET) de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos desde el año 2006. La financiación de esta investigación se ha realizado al amparo de los proyectos de colaboración artículo 83 firmados entre la Universidad y el grupo de “Upstream” del Centro de Tecnología de Repsol, Móstoles, que es el que proporciona las muestras de crudos empleadas. En los últimos años, el elevado consumo de recursos fósiles ha llevado a que se haga necesaria la explotación de yacimientos hasta ahora de menor rendimiento económico, asociado a los problemas operativos de extracción del crudo de petróleo. Por ello, cobran importancia aquellas investigaciones orientadas a mejorar o garantizar la operatividad de los yacimientos e instalaciones aguas abajo, mediante la predicción, prevención y remediación de problemas asociados al aseguramiento de flujo en los mismos. Dentro de este contexto, el estudio de los problemas de aseguramiento de flujo vinculados a la agregación y deposición de los compuestos de mayor peso molecular del crudo se vuelve un objetivo rentable para las empresas productoras o transformadoras de crudos de petróleo.
