El ser humano tiene la necesidad intelectual de conocer lo que pasa a su alrededor, e históricamente la prensa escrita ha cumplido un papel protagonista en contar diariamente las noticias que influían en la sociedad. Sin embargo a principios de este siglo el periodismo está siendo objeto de una transformación similar a lo que pudo suponer la imprenta de Gutenberg en el siglo XV.
