Abstract

El presente trabajo forma parte de la línea de investigación de procesos de polimerización de olefinas y caracterización de polímeros desarrollado en el departamento de Tecnología Química y Energética, Tecnología Química y Ambiental, Tecnología Mecánica y Química Analítica de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Concretamente, la investigación recogida en esta memoria se enmarcó dentro del proyecto financiado por el ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (CTQ2008-04601/PPQ) sobre la ¿Desarrollo de poliolefinas bimodales mediante nuevos procesos catalíticos heterogéneos?. Las poliolefinas constituyen una importante familia, siendo el polipropileno uno de los termoplásticos, conocidos como ¿comodities?, de mayor crecimiento en el mercado a nivel mundial debido principalmente a su versatilidad y su variedad de propiedades. La estereoselectividad de los catalizadores utilizados durante el proceso de síntesis es de gran importancia en las olefinas, tales como el propileno, ya que el sustituyente genera un centro quiral que conlleva distintas configuraciones espaciales de las cadenas y, por tanto, propiedades físicas diferentes en estos polímeros. El polipropileno isotáctico presenta gran rigidez, poca elasticidad, poca resistencia al impacto y poca resistencia en estado fundido, lo que provoca a su vez la facilidad del procesado del polipropileno isotáctico. Sin embargo, La configuración sindiotáctica presenta una mayor tenacidad y ductilidad, mayor resistencia al desgarro, mayor elasticidad y transparencia, aunque, la procesabilidad y las propiedades barrera son menores. Por todo ello, en la presente investigación se ha abordado el estudio de sistemas catalíticos de diferente tacticidad, concretamente, dos catalizadores isoespecíficos (rac-Et(Ind)2ZrCl2 y rac-Me2Si(2-Me-benz[e]Ind)2ZrCl2) y un catalizador sindioespecífico (Ph2C(Cp)(9 Flu)ZrCl2)...
