Abstract

La Autora analiza el impacto de los nuevos medios en algunas comunidades nativas de Centroamérica como un fenómeno a través del cual mirar los procesos de modernización en los Países del Sur del mundo. El análisis se enfoca en la categoría del postdesarrollo en el intento de identificar, teniendo en cuenta las criticidades, las posibles prácticas de resistencia por parte de las localidades al modelo de desarrollo dominante.

The Author illustrates the impact of the new media in some native communities of Central America as a phenomenon that enables us to look into the processes of modern-ization in the Southern countries of the world. The analysis focuses on the category of postdesarrollo in order to characterize possible practices of resistance enacted by local people to take position against the dominant model of development.

L’Autrice considera l’impatto dei new media su alcune comunità native del Centroame-rica come un fenomeno attraverso il quale guardare i processi di modernizzazione nei Paesi del Sud del mondo. L’analisi si concentra sulla categoria di postdesarrollo nel tentativo di individuare, tenendo conto delle criticità, eventuali pratiche di resistenza locale al modello di sviluppo dominante.
