Geomatica: le frontiere del rilevamento

Abstract

The interest concerning the Geographic Information (Gl) is more and more evident. Although the little knowledge on the potentiality and the correct utilisation of Gl, larger economical sectors have access to in field survey data using satellite positioning systems, traditional and digital photogrammetry laserscanning, remote sensing multi- and iper-spectral from airborne and satellite platforms (with different geometric, spectral and temporal resolutions), managed in Geographical lnformation Systems and Decision Support Systems. It concerns with enormous amount of data that must be organised, processed, managed and used in Short time for a correct representation and knowledge of the territory Goematics (geos: Earth, matica: informatics) is able to satisfy these requirements. In this paper are shortly described the fundamental components of the Geomatics and some tools of growing imployment as positioning systems, laser scannes, digital photogrammetry and remote Sensing.
