Toponomastic data are spatial objects existing on maps that are overlaid to the world represented on a Cartographic mean and are therefore necessary for reading a map. Toponomastic data are still difficult elements to manage inside GIS and digital Cartography. This paper deals with problems related to managing toponomastics and the solutions adopted by GM in this sector.
