Os sistemas de partidos em Portugal

Abstract

The History of Portuguese Republicanism, supported by political systems of different natures, is inseparable from a detailed analysis of the respective party systems. Once that the explanation is inseparable from today's historically unprecedented consolidations, the portrait of the 1 st Republic and the New State are crucial to an understanding of this, in other words, the 3rd Republic, regarding the framework supporter of social subsystem. The first part of the work focuses on the systematization of concepts for understanding the entirety of any social system, and we favor an approach of systemic bias rather than a reductionist analysis. As such, a given party system behaves in an organic way, through provision of units such as political parties. The party system, reflecting civil society, will be on orbit state, where all the mechanics systemic operates under a circular effect. As such, we propose to develop the study of political parties in the framework of the Portuguese civil society, without forgetting comparative determinants such as content-ideological-programmatic statutory and its history in the democratic spectrum, which hangs from the April 25, 1974.
