O desporto nas sociedades modernas

Abstract

En el texto se discuten las contribuciones de los más importantes autores en el campo de la sociología del deporte y se argumenta a favor de una reconstrucción de la disciplina en la perspectiva de las teorías de estructuración, para destacar la contingencialidad y especifidad de las prácticas deportivas en las sociedades modernas, sobre todo en la vertiente del deporte espectáculo.

Dans ce texte, on débat les apports des auteurs les plus importants dans la sociologie du sport et on plaide en faveur d"une reconstruction de cette discipline en s"appuyant sur les théories de la structuration, afin de mettre en évidence la contingence et la spécificité des pratiques sportives dans les sociétés modernes, notemment en ce qui concerne le sport-spectacle.

Neste texto discutem-se contributos dos mais importantes autores no campo da sociologia do desporto e argumenta-se em favor de uma reconstrução da disciplina na perspectiva das teorias da estruturação, por forma a destacar a contingencialidade e especificidade das práticas desportivas nas sociedades modernas, em particular na vertente do desporto-espectáculo.

In this text we discuss the contributions of the main authors in the sociology of sport and we argue for a reconstruction of the field based on the structuration theories, in order to emphasize the contingency and the specificity of sportive practices in moderm societies, namely in their spectacle forms.
