Abstract

O presente trabalho é uma investigação em Serviço Social sobre as “Práticas institucionais do assistente social com toxicodependentes”, focalizando-se concretamente na diversidade de práticas profissionais do assistente social nas diferentes instituições onde atua diretamente com o toxicodependente. Este estudo incorporou vários procedimentos teóricos e metodológicos. Realizou-se a pesquisa e análise documental de diversos autores considerados na área de investigação. Incidiu-se na abordagem qualitativa, sendo que a técnica utilizada foi a entrevista semiestruturada, orientada por um guião. Aplicou-se a análise de conteúdo, a qual foi organizada em categorias, assentando no cruzamento dos elementos teóricos com os elementos empíricos, de acordo com os objetivos definidos na pesquisa. Conclui-se deste modo, que as práticas institucionais do assistente social com toxicodependentes variam de acordo com os objetivos da instituição, sendo a entrevista a técnica utilizada por unanimidade, que os limites e constrangimentos colocados à prática do assistente social não interferem nas suas intervenções e que as reuniões de equipa são a melhor forma dos técnicos de Serviço Social evoluírem teórica e tecnicamente.

This work is an investigation in Social Service, about the “Institutional practices of the social assistent with addicts”, it focuses concretely on diversity of professional practices of the social assistent in the various institutions in which it operates directly with the addict. The research incorporated several empirical, theoretical and methodological procedures. We carried out research and documentary analysis of different authors considered in the study area. Focused on the qualitative approach, and the technique used was the semistructured interview, guided in a scripted interview. It was applied to content analysis, which was organized in categories, according to define objectives to research. It was concluded, that the institutional practices of the social assistent with drug users vary according to the goals of the institution, and the interview technique used by unanimity, the limits and constraints placed on the practice of social assistents do not interfere in their interventions and that team meetings are the best way of Social Service technicians evolve theoretically and technically.
