Estrutura social e descolonização em Angola

Abstract

Na primeira parte deste artigo, traça-se um quadro global da estrutura social angolana tal como hoje se apresenta, e examina-se o processo histórico —em que se distinguem diversas fases fundamentais— através do qual essa estrutura se constituiu. Analisa-se, seguidamente o papel desempenhado, na formação e consolidação dessa estrutura, por um dos mecanismos sociais mais importantes: o sistema de ensino. A partir das análises anteriores, estudam-se depois, em termos genéricos, as condições necessárias à concretização de um novo «projecto societal» angolano, regido por um certo número de principias essenciais, geralmente aceites pelas formações políticas que exprimem, em Angola, as aspirações dos diversos segmentos da população. Esboça-se, deste modo, um «modelo societal» para a Angola do futuro, modelo fundado na convivência racial e étnica, na «justiça social», no desenvolvimento económico integrado e na independência efectiva. A concluir, apontam-se algumas funções que parecem caber ao sistema de ensino, na reconversão da sociedade angolana.
