Abstract

O presente trabalho trata-se de uma dissertação de mestrado que incide sobre o tema da autonomia como política educativa importante ao bom funcionamento das escolas e do seu contributo à melhoria da qualidade do processo ensino aprendizagem na medida em que está intimamente ligada à sua identidade. Com o tema "autonomia das escolas no ensino secundário em Cabo verde: um estudo de caso", o trabalho procurou analisar as perceções de diferentes autores relativamente à sua importância para o concretizar de uma escola cada vez mais democrática e participativa. O estudo analisou o uso da autonomia na escola em estudo e a assimilação dos professores e do diretor da mesma, relativamente ao grau de autonomia que lhes é concedida pelo Ministério da Educação onde estes diagnosticam os problemas dela decorrentes e as medidas que se poderiam adotar no sentido de os erradicar da sua escola e melhorar o seu funcionamento. Do ponto de vista metodológico elegeu-se a investigação qualitativa como base para a realização do estudo. Como técnica de recolha das informações pretendidas recorreu-se a entrevista.

This paper is focused on the theme of education policy autonomy as important to the proper functioning of the schools and their contribution to improving the quality of teaching learning process in that it is closely linked to their identity. With the theme “school autonomy in secondary education in Cape Verde: a case study”, the study sought to examine the perceptions of different authors with respect to their importance for achieving a school increasingly democratic and participatory . The study examined the use of autonomy in school study and assimilation of the teachers and the director of the same , with regard to the degree of autonomy granted to them by the Ministry of Education where they diagnose the problems entailed and the measures that could be adopted in order of the root of your school and improve their functioning . From the methodological point of view was elected qualitative research as a basis for the realization of this study. As technique of collecting the required information turned up the interview.
